Submission, formatting & review
Submit articles as PDF files through the Submission and Review Management system (SRMv2), using the SGP template available there. Round-specific SGP 2027 submission links will be added when available.
There is no strict maximum paper length. SGP and Computer Graphics Forum recommend up to 10 pages, including images but excluding references. Papers should be no longer than their content justifies; additional material may be provided in supplementary documents.
A corresponding abstract is required for each paper. Meeting the earlier abstract deadline is strongly recommended to support reviewer assignment, but missing it does not prevent full paper submission.
Review is dual-anonymous. Remove author names, affiliations and identifying information; refer to your own work in the third person. Reviewers must keep submitted materials confidential.
Each submission undergoes a two-stage review process: conditional acceptance is followed by a revision, with final acceptance based on the revised article.
Dataset papers
Dataset papers are welcome in the main technical papers program and will be published in the same Computer Graphics Forum issue. A submission should provide a thoughtfully written companion paper, rather than only raw data.
- Novelty: explain how the dataset differs from existing resources, including new data types, annotations, application domains, scale, resolution or robustness challenges.
- Impact: explain how it can advance geometry processing research or address shortcomings of existing datasets.
- Presentation: motivate the dataset, document its content and acquisition process, and demonstrate new opportunities or challenges.
- Accessibility: describe access methods, file formats, inspection tools, long-term hosting, licensing and intellectual property considerations.
- Privacy and ethics: address anonymity, personally identifying information, data acquisition and potential misuse.
Anonymity & preprints
SGP permits preprints and research presentations. Before the final acceptance decision:
- Do not discuss the submitted research with the media, including institutional public relations and media offices.
- After submission, the work may be archived as a technical report, on arXiv or on a similar service, without mentioning SGP.
- Do not post statements on social media or elsewhere that identify specific work as an SGP submission.
- The work may be presented without stating that it has been submitted to SGP.
- Written job and funding applications may identify submissions as under review at SGP. Presentations for those applications may discuss the research without mentioning SGP.
